Porsche Club GB Classics At The Castle
One of the standout events this year for Porsche enthusiasts is undoubtedly this weekend’s Classics at the Castle. In association with official partners, Porsche Club GB, the event returns to the fantastic Hedingham Castle in Essex for one of the biggest Porsche events of the year. Not only that, but this year coincides with a number of key anniversaries for the brand meaning Classics at the Castle 2024 is certainly not one to miss for enthusiasts.
Classics At The Castle 2024
This year’s event as a whole focuses on the ‘air-cooled’ era of Porsche’s illustrious history, from the earliest models of the 356 to the last 911 to embrace the engine, the 993. There is however something in store for Porsche fanatics of all ages and all eras throughout the day.
As well as this, there is a big emphasis on the celebration of 50 years of the iconic Porsche Turbo with a fantastic display surrounding the castle itself, there will also be an area to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the G-Series 911 and a further display of 911 GT3’s celebrating 25 years since the model was introduced.
Special guests for Classics at the Castle include Tony Hatter, lead designer of the iconic 993 as well as an influential key figure in the design of iconic performance Porsche models including the 996 GT3, 997 GT2 and the final production variant of the legendary Carrera GT. He will be attending an informal Q&A session on the day as well as a signing session for those looking to secure the signature of an important figure in Porsche’s history.
Taking Your Porsche
Those looking to attend Classics at the Castle are of course welcome to turn up in whatever they are driving, however, those attending the event in their Porsche can take advantage of dedicated Porsche parking for everything from vintage and rare models, to brand new SUV’s, Taycans and hybrid models. Not only that, but Porsche Club GB members also receive a discount on the ticket prices prior to the event.
