Our Funding Highlights of 2024
With more than 4,000 cars funded throughout 2024 and counting there are quite a number of highlights that stand out from the rest. Whether it is a multi-million pound supercar or hypercar, a rare and sought after classic or one of the first of a brand new model in the country, the stories and buying journeys of our customers are always fascinating.
With 2024 drawing to a close we like to take a look back at some of the most notable and interesting vehicles we have funded throughout the last 12 months. Along with our Most Intriguing Vehicles Funded we have also put together our Funding Highlights of 2024 below:
Supercars
We thought it would be best to start with the supercars as they are usually the most talked about in the automotive world. A supercar is that aspirational purchase and a way to treat yourself to something you perhaps don’t strictly need but lust after. This year has seen no shortage of exotic supercars being funded by our customers, in fact the number that we funded throughout 2024 (with a few days yet to go) is 50% more than we did in 2023. Or 49.6% to be exact.
Of the more notable models funded over the past 12 months, at the most expensive end of the spectrum there were models such as the LaFerrari and Porsche Carrera GT, a more track focused McLaren Senna and a more grand touring orientated Aston Martin Vanquish V12 Zagato.
Crossing the line between a supercar and very capable sports car, we also helped our customers to fund ten of the 992 GT3 and a further five of the 992 GT3 Touring. Also included for those more track focused were a Mercedes-AMG GT-R Pro, an Aston Martin Vantage GT8 and an Ultima RS EVO. Other new supercars funded throughout the year include five Ferrari 296 GTB or GTS’s, a couple each of the Maserati MC20 coupe and the convertible MC20 Cielo, and a trio of McLaren’s latest Artura.
Also at the very limits of what makes a vehicle a sports car rather than a supercar, we also provided funding for a couple of Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS models and another few 718 Spyder RS models.
New Models
This year saw the introduction of so many new models that it was difficult to keep up with the latest news. With the majority of brands shifting towards new electric models, and the rest introducing new hybrids, there seemingly are more cars being released than ever before.
Of the new models being delivered to our customers this year, for 6 of our customers they were amongst the first to take delivery of the new Lamborghini Revuelto this year, along with 2 who took delivery of their all-new Aston Martin DB12’s. We also funded a coupe of the desirable Ferrari Purosangue models, five of the latest 992 generation of Porsche 911 GT3 RS’s, and a Range Rover Sport SV Edition 1.
One of the most anticipated models of 2024 has been the all-electric replacement of the Porshe Macan, and our customers were also eager to find out what all the fuss is about. No fewer than 16 Porsche Macan EV’s were funded this year by our customers, and speaking of new electric models, we also include an exquisite Rolls Royce Spectre.
Classics
Every year we love to hear about the rare and sought after classic vehicles that our customers are looking to fund. Whether they are buying from a classic specialist, from a private collection or looking to purchase at auction, the variation of vintage and classic vehicles provide some of the most interesting stories for any purchase.
The oldest vehicles we funded in 2024 include a Jaguar SS 100 from the 1930’s, a 1950’s Ford F-100 Pick Up Truck and a late 1950’s Land Rover 88”. The list of sought after classic vehicles also included a Porsche 912 and a couple of both Porsche 356 B T6 Coupe models and 356 Roadsters. For fans of historic racing cars, our customers funded an exquisite Cooper-Climax T39 as well as an iconic Lister Knobbly.
There were also plenty of classics funded that most of us would be familiar with. No fewer than 6 Jaguar E-Type models, a quartet of Mercedes Benz SL ‘Pagoda’ examples and an Aston Martin DB6. Some of the rarest also included a Lamborghini Countach 50th Anniversary, a fully restored 1973 Ford Escort RS2000 and a not often talked about Facel Vega.
Future Classics
A car that is deemed a ‘future classic’ is often a great investment opportunity and as such a great addition to a growing car collection. Determining what makes a future classic can be a difficult thing to predict, however some models of car are already highly sought after and increasing in value despite not actually being made that long ago. Others were made in limited numbers and are so sought after that it is expected they will become classic cars of the not too distant future.
Of the vehicles funded in 2024 that are sure to be future classics were models such as an Alfa Romeo 8C Spider, a stunning Italian design that saw just 500 produced in the late 2000’s. Of a similar era and limited numbers is the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, of which we had the privilege of providing funding for 5 of our customers this year. One of which was not only on display at this year’s Concours Masters at Salon Prive, but won its class and came second overall in the grounds of the opulent Blenheim Palace.
We also helped to fund a couple of Ferrari’s assured a place as future classics due to how highly regarded and sought after they already are, a Ferrari 458 Speciale and a 488 Pista. Along the very same lines we also provided funding for a brand new 992 generation Porsche 911 Sport Classic, as well as a previous generation 997 Porsche 911 Sport Classic. In terms of future classic and appreciating Porsche 911’s, one of our customers also purchased a very desirable 991 Speedster.
But it isn’t just the most expensive and exotic vehicles we funded that are seen as future classics, our customers also bought a Jaguar XE Project 8 and BMW Z3M Coupe. Also, a rarely seen and often overlooked yet very capable Noble M12 GTO-3R was also bought by one of our customers.
