Oracle Finance are delighted to announce our latest partnership with petrol head destination and restaurant/event space, The Motorist. Based just outside the town of Sherburn in Elmet, North Yorkshire, The Motorist is a ‘unique venue where like-minded people gather to appreciate great cars, enjoy good food and take part in regular meets and activities’.
The purpose-built space offers everything from regular car events and meets to workshop and restorations services, restaurant and café space, conference and event facilities and shop ‘The Store’, stocking everything from branded merchandise to motoring themed products and everything in between. In just a few years the popularity of the venue has risen to extraordinary levels and events often have in excess of 1,000 cars attending their popular themed meets or Cars and Coffee events. In fact it was recently voted as the ‘UK’s Classic Capital’, the best place in the country to celebrate all things classic car and motorbike ownership following a recent poll by classic vehicle insurance specialist Footman James, beating places such as Bicester Heritage, Goodwood Motor Circuit and other popular venues in the process.
But it isn’t just about the car events, the food on offer at The Arnage restaurant has received exceptional reviews and is well worth the trip for those who enjoy good food and a warm welcome atmosphere in a friendly and welcoming location. Offering everything from 3 course meals to delicious bacon sandwiches, the food at The Motorist is always praised by those who sample the fantastic menus on offer.

Events throughout the year include meets from popular car brands such as Collecting Cars, fellow partners Porsche Club GB, ‘Bangers and Cash’ TV programme stars Matthewsons Auctions, Car and Classic, Car Calendar, Pistonheads, Wheeler Dealers and more, as well as boasting over 200 car clubs and counting registered to their database.
The team have also put together a tiered membership club for enthusiasts that attend the venue regularly in order to provide them with exclusive benefits, special invitations, discounted offers and early access to events and features that The Motorist often host.
