Oracle Finance Sponsors The Salon Privé Concours Masters 2024
Now in its 19th year, Salon Privé is one of the most renowned events on the global automotive calendar and often described as the ultimate end of Summer automotive celebration. From the calibre of the cars on display and competing in the concours events to the impeccable hospitality on offer, Salon Privé is the ultimate in glamour and opulence amongst one of the finest backdrops in the world.
Taking place amongst the grandeur of UNESCO World Heritage site Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, the four day event celebrates the finer things in life and is the perfect occasion to socialise and appreciate the surroundings. Friday at Salon Privé is known as ‘Style Day’, the ultimate garden party occasion held on the South Lawn and in such high esteem as a Buckingham Palace garden party, the opulence of Royal Ascot or the fashion chic of Henley Regatta.
This year’s Style Day was the occasion for the inaugural Concours Masters trophy, a celebration of vehicles built for the thrill of driving, from vintage sports cars to modern day hypercars and rare and sought after future classics. As the event blends the lifestyle of many of our customers, we were proud to sponsor the first Concours Masters trophy and its 6 classes, and awarding of the Prix d’Honneur or Best In Show trophy.
Concours Masters Trophy
To celebrate this year’s sponsorship of the illustrious Concours Masters trophy we invited some of our most loyal customers to join us for the event to enjoy the impeccable hospitality and sense of occasion of one of the world’s most exclusive automotive events. Not only that, but for some of our customers, it was the chance to enter some of the vehicles funded by Oracle Finance into the Concours Masters trophy itself.
In separate classes for this years concours were an exquisite 1962 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Fixed Head Coupe with full matching numbers specification and in the same Gunmetal as the Geneva Motor Show launch car, and a 2011 Designo Mystic White Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Coupe in regularly used but immaculate condition, both funded by Oracle Finance.
Obviously we were not part of the judging process yet we were thrilled to see that the SLS AMG was not only awarded class winner for the V8 Supercars class, but also was awarded Prix d’Honneur runner up, narrowly missing out on the coveted Best In Show trophy. That honour was bestowed upon an extremely rare Aston Martin One-77, one of just 9 right hand drive examples in the world.
A huge congratulations to all of the class winners and to the three finalists who took home Prix d’Honneur trophies for first, second and third place. It was a pleasure to sponsor such a coveted trophy at this illutrious event and see the spectacular vehicles on display throughout the day.
A Four Day Spectacular
As well as the concours competitions there were brand new product launches, prestigious brand displays and some of the rarest examples on display anywhere, and that’s just the cars. The most opulent jewellery, finest aviation products, exquisite yacht companies and prestige marques from around the world are also on display to those meandering on the palace lawns.
A win at the Salon Privé concours competition is one of the most prestigious and sought after accolades in the automotive calendar and their fastidious adjudicators are renowned for their exacting standards. This year the Concours Masters, sponsored by Oracle Car Finance, invited supercar owners from multiple decades to compete for the honour of taking home the trophy.
