December At The Motorist
As part of our recent partnership with The Motorist, we look forward to sharing the upcoming events and meets that they host all year round. From themed or brand specific meets to supercar events, automotive launches and much more, there is always something for every type of car or bike enthusiast happening at the venue. Despite the weather taking a turn for the worse, and the number of events understandably not being as frequent, there are still some great things happening throughout the month of December at The Motorist.
Weekly Events
On Wednesday evenings the very popular ‘Wheels and Wings’ weekly meet has become the ‘Not Just Wheels and Wings’ meet since last month. A chance to pretty much show off any car you have that may be interesting, rare or unusual in some way or another. Or just a great excuse to go along for dinner and sample the fantastic food on offer in the restaurant, whilst in the company of like minded individuals. The ever-popular afternoon/evening Cars & Curry on a Friday and Bikes & Bonnets on a Thursday are currently on hold but will return once the evenings get lighter early next year.
Every Sunday is ‘Coffee and Cars’ for like-minded enthusiasts to gather and view the selection of cars that have turned up, often a very impressive selection of everything from modern supercars and sports cars to classic cars, bikes and rare vehicles. A great chance to grab a coffee or one of their excellent breakfast or lunches in ‘The Arnage’ and have a wander round discussing all things automotive.
Saturday Social
Saturday’s see the themed ‘Saturday Social’ meets with everything from German or French or Italian cars being chosen for that particular day, or it could be supercars, modified, 4×4’s or even ‘high mileage heroes’. Saturday 2nd December saw all things French turn up to show off everything Peugeot, Renault, Citroen, Alpine amongst brave the snowy weather. Everyone is welcome at a Saturday Social whether you own a vehicle from the particular theme or not, it is just a great chance to see some rare cars or bikes that you perhaps hadn’t seen before.
This Saturday the 9th sees all things 4×4 get their spotlight for the day, so expect a plethora of Land Rover and Range Rover models, both old and new, perhaps a few Urus’ and no doubt a few 4×4’s you’d forgotten they’d even made. The following week is German week, so expect an array of Audi, BMW, Porsche, Mercedes Benz and others making their way throughout the day. Saturday the 23rd, the last Saturday before Christmas, sees the meet aimed at modified cars, and surely the opportunity to see the biggest variety of all the themed weeks.
Looking To 2024
Although the venue is closed only for Christmas Day and Boxing Day, those getting bored over the festive period can look forward to 2024 and what is sure to be a very popular event, the New Year’s Day Meet. From 10am to 4pm expect to see a wide range of vehicles from every discipline and interest to attend and brave the cold weather to start the new year off by indulging with fellow automotive enthusiasts.
We will of course be keeping our customers informed about the excellent events at The Motorist throughout the year as we hear about them.
